Who We are
Tim
Managing Director of Oxford Hearing Centre Ltd
With a career spanning over forty years in the field of audiology across both NHS and private sectors, Tim brings a wealth of knowledge to the Oxford Hearing Centre. For the past thirteen years, he has dedicated his expertise to this centre as its senior audiologist.
Now, as the Managing Director, he’s passionate about preserving the ethos of our compact yet highly experienced team, focusing on delivering excellent customer care and top-tier technical proficiency. Alongside Helen, he is keen on driving innovation, exploring new frontiers of knowledge, and working in concert with various hearing instrument manufacturers. At the Oxford Hearing Centre, we may be small, but our commitment to treating each individual with respect and personalised care remains a priority.
Lawrence
Audiologist
Lawrence began his career in audiology at the Oxford Hearing Centre in 2008, before heading off to complete a Masters at UCL London with a further 3 years post Masters in the NHS, training in Paediatrics, Complex adults and Vestibular (dizzy) finally completing a Doctorate in Audiology in 2020.
He has just completed a year in Malawi (East Africa) where he lectured in the only audiology degree program in central Africa, and also managed an Audiology clinic in Lilongwe (along with his wife).
He is currently a lecturer at Middlesex University on their BSc audiology programme. Lawrence brings with him a broad range of experience in different audiology settings. From large NHS hospitals, managing a service on the Island of Guernsey and working in the private sector.
He believes that working at OHC will allow him the time to connect with his patients to find out their needs and begin helping them live well with the hearing they have.
Helen
Administrator
Helen, our diligent administrator, joined the Oxford Hearing Centre team in 2007, following a successful career in the travel industry. She is the backbone of our operation, ensuring everything runs seamlessly from day-to-day.
With her warm and friendly approach, Helen makes sure our reception is always a welcoming space for every visitor. She stands ready to assist you with any enquiries, making your interaction with our centre as effortless and pleasant as possible. As part of our two-member team, Helen’s contribution is instrumental in creating the personalised and respectful atmosphere that we pride ourselves on.
