In a recent article in Quiet magazine the, Tinnitus UK’s quarterly publication, has warned against getting tinnitus advice from Social Media.
This based on a study done in the Hearing Journal 2019, which found mis-information very common especially on platforms like Facebook, YouTube and TikTok suggesting oils, vitamins, ear drops and diets to cure tinnitus.
At Oxford Hearing Centre we recommend getting information from the scientifically backed charity tinnitus.org.uk/tinnitus-treatments
If you have any concerns about tinnitus please don’t hesitate to contact us as at the Oxford Hearing Centre and we can do a thorough evaluation of your tinnitus and then can suggest appropriate treatments
